Once you set up your Dropcam, you can watch it from anywhere*. You can see your Dropcam video feed using your computer or on an iPhone.
Your Dropcam account includes DVR functionality - your video is recorded at all times while the camera is powered and connected to the Internet. You can review video footage you've recorded, even if it isn't live. Different levels of our paid service packages provide you with varying amounts of storage.
The Dropcam Viewer has an easy-to-use timeline at the bottom of the viewer that provides access to the previous week of recorded footage.
Dropcams can detect events such as sudden motion in the video. These events are displayed on the timeline along with a picture of the video at that time.
Your Dropcams are listed on the left side of your account page. When you own multiple Dropcams, they appear here, along with any Dropcams that were shared with you by friends and family.
Your Dropcam is sophisticated and pretty darn smart. You can set your Dropcam to send you alerts via text message (SMS, MMS), to your email, or as a push notification on your iPhone. These alerts can be based on motion detection.
Your Dropcam video is private, personal, and very secure. It is only visible to you. However, if you wish to share it with friends, family, or work colleagues, simply send them an invitation! A secure personal link is sent to them, and they can then watch the video with their own account.
If you decide to stop sharing access to your Dropcam, restricting access is as simple as click Block!
